Peg Zipper
made by circe

A peg zipper allows all the pegs to be snatched from their positions in quick succession.

You will need 8 spring-loaded clothes pegs, either plastic or wooden, and a length of cord or string.

Start by tying a finger loop into one end of the cord. Tie the first knot into the cord about 2-3 inches from the finger loop

Wrap a piece of tape around the other end of the cord, to act like a needle, and thread the cord through the spring hole. Slide the whole peg along until it reaches the first knot.

Holding the peg firmly in place, tie a second knot tightly to the other side of the peg. The peg now sits securely between the two knots.
Leave a one inch space and tie a third knot into the cord. Thread a peg along the cord and secure it with the fourth knot. Repeat this process until all the pegs are used up.

Leave the same 2-3 inch length of cord as you did at the start and make a finger loop to finish the zipper.
