hiya - can you spare a couple of mins?
jaz says
yep, what's up?
Circe says
I want to draw on your professional wisdom again!
jaz says
ooooooo lol hang on, will go find it!
Circe says
this morning's topic - urine .. facts I know - it is sterile until exposed to air, it contains proteins, enzymes, body tissue, blood traces blah blah blah – that it's is not considered a waste product - liquid waste product is what stops you shitting dust
Circe says
so … if it is sterile is it still capable of transmitting infections?
Circe says
I understand that any urinary tract infection would transmit but that there's no evidence that HIV does
Circe says
but what about Hep and chlamydia and such?
jaz says
it transfers Hep
jaz says
chlamydia no, its only present in vaginal fluid and semen not urine
Circe says
so it's less of a risk than unprotected sex - same percentage of risk as swallowing cum but from different infections?
jaz says
except for Hep which is more easily transferred - it lives in air etc far longer and is more resilient to stomach acid
Circe says
but surely Hep is a risk just from kissing too – I would imagine very few people take precautions when kissing
jaz says
Hep is in saliva but is more concentrated in urine and faeces
jaz says
it needs fluid-to-blood transmission, saliva exchange during a kiss is minimal (unless you are crap at it) ingesting urine is a higher risk, think of the areas the urine will pass thru, more risk of fluid-to-blood transfer
Circe says
drinking urine (your own) is considered healthy - and some medicinal remedies, Chinese etc, use animal urine - would you say the risks from drinking urine are mainly dependant on the health of the urine "provider"
Circe says
that is to say - as a substance on it's own it is harmless?
jaz says
of course - there are also some parasitic type infections etc that can be transferred thru urine ingestion but if its your own then whatever's contained in the urine is already in your body
jaz says
The acid in the stomach kills off 99% of any germs which is why oral sex etc is low risk unless cuts sores are present in the mouth. But Hep, esp C, is a virulent bugger and can resist the acid for a period of time which makes it the main risk
Circe says
someone told me that if the "provider" has been drinking alcohol it cuts down the ammonia smell - I thought that weird because I didn't think the ammonia bit kicked in until the urine had been exposed to the air for some time
jaz says
the smell is when the urine has been exposed for some time to the air . It's airborne bacteria that start breaking the urine down, basically decomposition
Circe says
but minerals will come through in the urine? if the "provider" has a lot of salt in the diet for example? would drinking extra water reduce that?
jaz says
fresh urine smells good unless it contains pus and blood from a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)
jaz says
drinking excess water will always dilute it and yep minerals come through salt sugar etc
Circe says
* laughs *- yes - always thought it had a biscuity smell
Circe says
if pee has been held in the bladder for some time - over night or long journey then it tends to be a stronger smell - more concentrate
jaz says
you should always avoid drinking first pee of the day or playing with it if poss as due to the fact that you have been asleep and not drinking it is obviously far more concentrated
Circe says
* grinz * snap!!
Circe says
is there anything you'd like to add - think I've asked the questions I needed to ask but you might see something I've missed
jaz says
the obvious - don't pee over open wounds etc in case of UTIs - higher risk of infection unless its the subs own urine but that would cut out 75% of play I guess * laughs*
jaz says
a minor infection will clear anyway, washing the wounds well and applying an anti bacterial cream is common sense but Hep is more of a concern, it's fatal in many and debilitating in all
Circe says
ah! – now some people like to piss into arses - a golden enema?
jaz says
that would be a higher risk than pissing vaginally or in the mouth, the tissue in the anus is very porous. What goes in is often absorbed through the anal wall and there are no acids etc to compensate and even in people used to anal play there are always small tears
jaz says
you know there can be a small risk if a lot of urine is urinated when the penis is fully inserted in the vagina
jaz says
as urine leaves the body at high pressure it can be forced thru the cervix into the womb and cause infection which in extreme cases can lead to infertility
jaz says
even douches are not encouraged and that's done with sterile water
Circe says
ok – I think that's all my questions answered - thanx
jaz says
you're welcome
