S&M Man Freed on 1M Bail

A federal judge freed a Queens pervert yesterday on $1 million bail - days after he was accused of keeping sex slaves and torturing them on his sadomasochistic pay-per-view Web site.

He is suspected of burning his initials into his victims' buttocks, forcing them into dog cages and demanding that they call him God, according to a source close to the case.

Marcus, 52, faces life in prison if convicted of torture he allegedly inflicted upon a woman who tried to escape. He is suspected of keeping as many as 10 women enslaved at a time and additional charges are pending, a source said.

Federal Magistrate Joan Azrack called the charges "shocking, vile and disgusting," but concluded that the house arrest was sufficient to protect the community.


Marcus is confined to his parents' North Woodmere home and his father was forced to surrender his home computer. His parents stood by their son yesterday, posting their home to get him out of jail and lashing out at reporters as they left Brooklyn Federal Court.

"Go to hell!" Belle Marcus, 76, snarled from under a coat covering her head.

"Are you from The Wall Street Journal?" Gerald Marcus, 76, a hedge fund manager, asked a photographer. "I want to be in The Wall Street Journal. That's my comment. Now get lost!"

Later, the father swatted a Daily News photographer with a cardboard box.

Glenn Marcus, who has pleaded not guilty and claims the acts were consensual, remained silent as he hid his face with a wool jacket.

Earlier, his roommate, Rona Cohen, at his Queens flat in Kew Gardens dashed out of the courthouse after a prosecutor told the judge that she had witnessed some of the abuse - and may have been brainwashed by the defendant. She declined comment.

Defense lawyer Mildred Whalen told the judge that Marcus' activities were consensual and his parents knew of his kinky lifestyle.

Marcus, who is divorced and has an adult daughter, claims he earned $2,500 to $4,000 over the past year from the Web site and a mail-order comic book business. His only assets are a 1994 Jeep Cherokee and $250.
