The Judas Cradle

The Judas Cradle is a form of torture that has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages.

The victim was hoisted up and lowered onto the point of the pyramid in such a way that his weight rests on the point positioned in the anus, in the vagina, under the scrotum or below the coccyx. The executioner could then vary the pressure from zero to that of total body weight by raising or lowering the victim onto the point.
The victim could be rocked, weighted down or made to fall repeatedly onto the point.

This method of torture is still favoured by a few Latin American governments, sometimes with electrical accessories or metal pyramid points.
