The Pear

Sometimes known as the Choking Pear or Pear of Confession this device was inserted into an orifice and expanded.

Most commonly it was applied in the mouth but it was also used in the vagina or rectum. The expansion of the device caused damage but this was maximised by the spikes at the end of each segment. These would tear up the throat, cervix or intestines leaving the orifice mutlilated beyond repair and most victims died as a result of these injuries.

The oral use of this device gave rise to the expression "Choke-Pear" to describe an arguement that cannot be answered or won
