Genital Play

Genital Play can be as light or as torturous as you like but, as in all aspects of BDSM, precautions need to be taken to ensure that no long-term harm is caused to your sub. This page sets out to offer some suggestions for play and guidelines to ensure your sub's, and your own, safety. In play there is always risk of cross-contamination of body fluids, use condoms and clean equipment. see High Risk pages for advice.

*IMPORTANT* As with any other extremities keep a careful eye on the changes in colour to the skin and any tinglings or numbness that is being felt by the recipient especially in male genital bondage. If you practice self bondage on the penis or balls never be too scared or embarassed to seek medical help if you know things are going wrong. A moment's embarassement is preferable to a lifetime of regret.

In The Toy Bag

Speculum: If you are going to play with a woman, it's worth investing in a speculum. Better yet, buy a box of disposable plastic ones. If you don't know what it is, a speculum is a duckbill shaped instrument that levers apart to spread and hold open the vagina. They are hideously humiliating to most women.

Forceps : These are great as clamps. Attach four pairs of forceps to the outer lips and tie them down to the table with rope or string through the finger holes. They also work great as stimulators. Most are thin, long and easily slide into a vagina or anus. Once inside, they can be opened a little or a lot and gently run around the inner walls or rubbed across a clit. Be sure of your edges -- sharp is bad! If you want to tone down the intensity of your forceps, you can dip the tips in liquid rubber.

Sounds and Catheters : Excellent for male torture. These are used by inserting them into the urethra. A long, rubber fishing lure can be used in place of a sound.

Needles : Hypodermic needles are good equipment to have. (see Needle Play) The outer skin of cocks, or the labia may be pinned to a corkboard much like a butterfly is displayed by a collector. The scene can be elaborated upon by adding ribbons or bright strings woven between the needles. Or you can weave the needles with flash string and set them on fire with a beautiful whoosh! Neurowheels (Wartenburg wheels) are also good toys to have. Running those sharp little needles over tender flesh always gets a good reaction.

Electrics : TENS unit used just above the vaginal slit of a women while doing other stimulation or, with men, suctioning the TENS ends to the balls is intensely stimulating if used on low power. Care must be taken when doing electro-play to avoid burns etc (see Electro Play)

Clips & Clamps : There is such a variety of shape, colour, textures and purpose which makes them excellent for varying the intensity and duration of a scene. Clamps attached to a suspender belt are good for holding the vagina open. Adding weights to clamps on nipples, outer lips, clits (not for the faint of heart) foreskins or balls is often part of genital torture play. Do NOT use pegs or clamps on the inner labia because they are far too thin to take the pressure. Their moistness can also cause pegs/clamps to stick to them and this risks tearing the skin away when the clamps are removed. However, placing a peg for just a few seconds on the inner labia will produce a satisfying yelp but anything longer than that can be damaging.

Ropes & Ribbons : … thongs and strings. Stronger fabrics like ropes for general bondage and lighter ones for tying open forceps, tying around balls, lips, and the occasional clit. Use your imagination. If your sub is pierced then these can be utilised in rope play. Nipple piercings can be tied to clamps that are attached to the labia. As with any form of bondage don't keep things tied too tight for too long. Check with your sub for any signs of tingling or numbness.

Wax : Candles are always good to have about. Using the right type of candle is important to avoid severe burns, especially on delicate tissue. Some people apply pegs or clamps to the genitalia and ensure that they have a good coating of wax. When peg/clamp and wax are removed simultaneously the pain can be extreme. (see Wax Play)

CBT Toys : Cock rings, ball stretchers and crushes are good for control and restraint. Parachutes make great weight holders and the kinds with studs on the inside add to the pain.

Insertables : Vibrators, dildos, chinese balls/eggs and butt plugs are useful stimulators. Often used to tease and control orgasm release.

Flagellation Toys : You can occasionally use your nastiest cane on a cock, or your heaviest flogger on female breasts but for regular play choose pussy/cock whips or floggers instead. Shorter, less dense tails can sting but with lesser impact on the more sensitivity parts. They come in leather, plastic, suede and rubber

Abrasion : Any kitchen grater can be used, with care, on tender vaginal lips or balls. Emory paper pasted to a wooden stick can be run over nipples, cock heads, lips, etc. for incredible stimulation.

Sensations : Depriving the sub of the sensorary perceptions of sight and hearing greatly intensifies the experience so ear plugs and blindfolds are useful additions to the toy bag.
Exposed genitals and anuses can be iced or smeared with tiger balm, oils, etc. Only use oil based products externally and remember that oils will rot latex thereby rendering condoms unsafe.

Mouth & Hands : licking, sucking, biting … pinching, squeezing, slapping – what more needs to be said!
